Voss, Agnes Rose (Wagner) 1911 - 1985

Agnes Rose Voss was born Jan. 31, 1911, the daughter of Herbert and Ruth (Arnold) Wagner in Allamakee County, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Monona. She received her education in the country school and at St. Pat's. Agnes was a member of St. Pat's Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters, Senior Citizens and East Side Homemakers.

On Jan. 7, 1930 she was united in marriage to Joseph Frank Voss at St. Patrick's Church. To this union five children were born. Agnes died at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1985, after a sudden illness.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a baby brother Herbert. Jr., and brother Gerald.

Surviving is her husband, Joe; two sons, Eugene and his wife Karen of Luana, Milton and his wife Kay of Monona; three daughters, Bernadine and her husband, Don Kirschbaum of Platteville, WI., Mildred and her husband James Zeller of Dubuque, Marie and her husband Roger Farmer of Noblesville, IN; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe of Fayette and Tom of Monona.

Services were held Saturday, Oct. 5, 1985 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Monona with Father John Moran officiating. Pallbearers were Brian Kirschbaum, Steve Kirschbaum, Roger Kirschbaum, Gregory Zeller, Daniel Voss, Scott Voss, Rodney Voss, Jeffrey Farmer and William Dencker. Honorary pall-bearers were William Hazlett, Raymond Mielke, Donald Schofield, Mike Schofield, Edwin Tayek, Harold Trappe, Barney Whittle and Marvin Zittergruen. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
