Funeral ,services for Else Kaiser were held Friday, Dec. 24, 1982 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Monona, with Pastor Harold O. Ward officiating. Honorary pall-bearers were Walter Drahn, Erwin Drahn, Glenn Drahn, and Ed Cordes. Pall-bearers were Dean Hoferer, Keith Kishman, Everett Drahn, Lloyd Drahn, Gordon Schultz, Kurt Rose, Lee Krambeer, and Virgil Kaiser. Burial was in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home was in charge of services.
Else Marie Kaiser, the daughter of J.F.W. William and Augusta (Groth) Kaiser, was born May 28, 1893 in Farmersburg Township, Clayton County. She was baptized June 25, 1893 by Johannas Graening and confirmed Oct. 6, 1907 by Otto Wappler, both at National. Her Bible verse was Phil 1:6. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and of the Hope Circle. She received her education in the rural school near National. In 1910 she moved with her parents to Monona, to what is now Schultz's Funeral Home. During her life she gave of herself, first to her parents, her brothers and sisters and was like a second mother to all her nieces and nephews. She became matron at the Funeral Home and continued in this capacity for 41 years. She died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1982 at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville, Iowa, where she had been since Oct. 4th.
Preceding her in death were her parents, 4 sisters, Emilia Drahn. Hildegarde Kishman, Frieda Schultz and baby Elizabeth, 9 brothers Julius, Emil, Arthur, Arno,
