Funeral services for Myron Carroll Krambeer, age 84, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 6 at the New Albin Funeral Chapel in New Albin, Iowa with the Rev. Kim Thacker officiating. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery with Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home of Lansing in charge of arrangements.

Myron Carroll Krambeer, son of John and Clara (Henkes) Krambeer, was born August 31, 1912 in Clayton County, Iowa. He received his education in Clayton County rural schools. On January 3, 1933 Myron married Mae McNally. She died on September 5, 1961. Myron was a farm laborer most of his adult life, except for the three years the family spent in Henderson, Nevada where he worked in a government plant. On September 20, 1962 Myron married Charlotte Leibold. They owned and operated taverns in Elma, Iowa and later in New Albin, Iowa. They retired in 1983.

Myron Carroll Krambeer died Thursday, December 4, 1997 at Thornton Manor in Lansing, Iowa. In addition to his first wife, Myron was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers Harold Krambeer, Lester Krambeer, Kenneth Krambeer, Gerald Krambeer, Burnell Krambeer, and Verdell Krambeer and four sisters, Edna Ihde, Lucille McNally, Lorene Neverman, and Irma Meyer.

Myron is survived by his wife Charlotte of New Albin, Iowa; 5 daughters, Beverly (Vernon) Hartson of Elgin, Iowa, Cleon Schissel of Milan, Illinois, Carol (Roger) Balk of Decorah, Iowa, Sharon (James) Spilde of Cresco, Iowa and an adopted daughter, Sandra Hickey of Florida; 1 son Merlin (Marge) Krambeer of New Albin, Iowa; 21 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

Myron Carroll Krambeer, 84, of New Albin, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 1997 at Thornton Manor in Lansing.

Jan. 3, 1933 Myron married Mae McNally. They had five children together. She died Sept. 5, 1961.
