Requiem Mass was held Thurs., March 7, at 10 a.m. for Mrs. Ida Hayden, who passed away March 4 at a nursing home in Dassel, Minn., following a long illness. Mass was said by Rev. Father Klein of St. Mary's Catholic Church at McGregor, Iowa. Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. Hayden was born April 22, 1888, in Ottawa, Ohio, to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Burckart. Mrs. Hayden spent much of her life-time in the teaching profession. She made her home in the Monona-McGregor area until the time of her illness.
She leaves to mourn two sons, Richard of Howard Lake, Minn. and Harold of Decatur, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister, Ethel Needham of Monona, and one brother, Leonard Burckart of McGregor; also many nieces & nephews & a host of friends.
Pallbearers were nephews, Leonard Needham, Norbert Needham, Donald Kolhoff, James O'Connor & grandsons, Howard Hayden & Richard Hayden.
