John Koss, 61, Funeral Monday

John Koss, 61, Plasant Ridge far[m] died suddenly Saturday following [a] stroke. Funeral services conducted [by] the Rev. McMichael were held at [his] home Monday afternoon. Burial [was] in the Council Hill cemetery.

John Henry Koss was born in Gi[ard] township on December 16, 1877. [All] his life was lived in or near this [vi]cinity. On March 18, 1902, he mar[ried] Reaka Glawe of Clayton Center.

He is survived by his widow, [two] children, Arnold, who is at home, [and] Mrs. Florence Holly of Monona.

Mr. Koss has one brother, Emil K[oss] of Mason City, and three sisters, M[rs.] William Garm, Mason City; Mrs. Em[ma] Freeze, Des Moines, and Mrs. F[?] Gleisner of Marquette. There are [?] grandchildren: June, John, Betty and Gwenlyn Holly, and Eva Koss.

John Henry Koss was born in Giard township on December 16, 1877. All his life was lived in or near this vicinity. On March 18, 1902, he married Reaka Glawe of Clayton Center.

He is survived by his widow, and children Arnold, who is at home, and Mrs. Florence Holly of Monona.

Mr. Koss has one brother, Emil Koss, of Mason City, and three sisters, Mrs. William Garms, Mason City, Mrs. Emma Freeze, Des Moines and Mrs. Felix Gleisner of Marquette. There are five grandchildren: June, John, Betty and Gwenlyn Holly and Eva Koss.
