Services were held Thursday, February 13 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monona, for Henry CHRISTOFFERSON. The Rev. R. E. Langholz officiated. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Henry Theodore Christofferson, the son of Walter and Mary Olson Christofferson, was born on August 15, 1890 in Franklin Township, Allamakee County, Iowa. He was baptized in 1908 at Postville and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on March 2, 1928 at Monona. He attended the rural schools in Allamakee County.

He was united in marriage with Florence Backhaus on January 23, 1913 at Luana. After his marriage, Henry served in the armed forces of his country for several years. After he returned home, he farmed east of Monona in Read Township until 1948 when he moved to Monona. He worked at Bothel Implement in Monona since then. His wife passed away in December of 1966. For the last year and one-half, he had been living at the Decorah Retirement Center. He passed away Monday, February 10, at the age of 78 years, five months and 26 days.

He was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church Monona and of the Brotherhood.

Surviving are two brothers, William and Herman of Postville and two sisters, Velma (Mrs. Hollis Enyart) and Alice (Mrs. Albert Backhaus) of Postville. Preceding him in death were his wife, also five brothers, Elmer, Elbe, Louis, Harvey and Leonard; and two sisters, Clara, Mrs. Fred Bente and Anna, Mrs. Harry Bente.
