Edw. McAndrew Passes Away
Edward C. McAndrew, 88, of McGregor, Ia., passed away Thurs. evening, Nov. 25th at the hospital in Prairie du Chien.
Ed was born to Peter & Mary McAndrew Dec. 7, 1887 at North McGregor, now Marquette, the youngest of thirteen children and the last member of family.
He was married to Grace Geraghty at Saint Patricks Church in Monona, Nov. 4, 1919 and was privileged to celebrate 57 years of married life 3 weeks ago.
He farmed on Irish Ridge, Fairview Twp., Allamakee until 1942 when he sold the farm and moved first to Monona and then the last 32 years in McGregor.
Funeral services were held Mon., Nov. 29 from St. Mary's Hall, McGregor with nephew Army Chaplain Rev. Thomas McAndrew and Reverends Robert Hirsch, Francis Phalen and Fr. Wm. Goltz, Bernard Grady and Msgr. Vernon Peters concelebrating the funeral Mass. Fr. Grady, a nephew, delivered the Homily.
Burial was in St. Patrick cemetery, Monona, with pallbearers Dr. D. W. Pfeiffer, Elmer Erb, Michael Carroll, Donald Schofield, Gene Ottoway and Thomas Grady.

We are very grateful to Doctor Pfeiffer, nurses and clergy and organist and all who participated and helped. Special thanks also to the ladies who served the funeral dinner.
I am not able to write personal Thank You cards but instead will have a Mass offered for your intention.
