Funeral services for Marguerite Mary Teeter, age 83, formerly of the McGregor, Monona, and Waukon, Iowa areas, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 17 at Martin Funeral Home with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg officiating. Burial was in the St. Mary's Cemetery in McGregor, Iowa. Casket bearers were George Fiddler, Alvin Ready, Kip Platten, Larry Gelo, John May, and Duane Franks. Honorary bearers were Jennie Stammeyer, Joe Stammeyer, Jr., Tami Teeter and James Springsteen.

Marguerite Mary, daughter of Francis and Jennie (Albright) Fiddler, was born June 17, 1916 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. She attended local schools in Blue Earth, graduating in 1934. on January 22, 1947 she married Marcus Teeter in Blue Earth, Minnesota. In 1954 the family moved to McGregor, Iowa, then to Monona, Iowa in 1966, and in 1976 she moved to Waukon, Iowa where she was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church. In 1989 she moved to Davenport, Iowa where she lived until 1993 when she moved to Hayward, Wisconsin.

Marguerite Mary Teeter died Tuesday, July 13, 1999 at the St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Teeter, who died July 1, 1966; her parents; an infant daughter, Vicki Gay Teeter; and two brothers, Charles Fiddler and Francis Fiddler.

She is survived by one son, Charles (Gloria) Teeter of Hayward, Wisconsin; 2 granddaughters, Jennie (Joe) Stammeyer, Jr. of Waukon, Iowa, Tami Teeter of Hayward, Wisconsin; 2 step-granddaughters, Susan Baker of Rochester, Minnesota and Tracy Vongroven of Hayward, Wisconsin and 6 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 brother, Paul Fiddler of McGregor, Iowa.
