Funeral services for Martha Leppert were held Saturday, July 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Schultz Funeral Home in Monona, Iowa. Rev. Gary Dobbins officiated. Pallbearers were Bill Gentz, Sidney Chickering, Jerry Brown, Tom Rose, Jim Middendrof, and Emmett Trappe. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Caledonia, Minnesota. Schultz Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Martha Katherina was born November 10, 1915 in Crooked Creek Township, Houston County, near Brownsville, Minnesota to Henry and Maria (Jahn) Oesterle. She was baptized and confirmed in Zion Evangelical Church. She received her education in country school. On October 18, 1934 Martha was united in marriage to Henry W. Jahn in Caledonia, Minnesota. They became the parents of 2 sons. They farmed in Wilmington Township in Minnesota until the sudden death of Henry. * The year of his death was not give.* In 1957 Martha was united in marriage to Ralph Leppert in Preston, Minnesota. To this union one daughter was born. the couple made their home in Monona, Iowa.

Martha Katherina Leppert died Tuesday, July 9, 1991 at Central Community Hospital in Elkader, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Henry Jahn, her second husband, Ralph Leppert, who died December 30, 1988; 2 brothers, Alvin Oesterle, and Herman Oesterle and 2 sisters, Louise Oesterle amnd Margaret Burmester.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Irvin E. (Esther) Jahn of Woodbridge, Virginia and Darrell L. (Gail) Jahn of Auburn, Washington, 1 daughter, Carol (Bill) Grady of Norfolk, Virginia; 4 grandchildren, Brandon Grady, Blaine Grady, Henry Lee Jahn and Joshua Jahn; and 1 brother, Henry Oesterle of Caledonia, Minnesota.
