Funeral services for Donald D. Mielke, age 66, of Glendale, Arizona were held at the Phoenix Memorial Mortuary with full military honors. Donald, son of Otto and Addie (Smith) Mielke, was born July 21, 1928, on a farm near Monona, in Clayton County, Iowa. He was a retired military instructor in the Marine Corps and a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Preceding him in death were his parents; 3 brothers, Lloyd Mielke, Creighton Mielke, and Lester Mielke, and 1 sister, Margretta Buerger.

He is survived by his wife Reba; 3 daughters, LaDona M. Vlodica, LaNora M. Sanchez, and LaRosa M. Pinz; 2 grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Schlitter of Sumner, Iowa, and a brother, Carlton Mielke.
