Manchester - Funeral services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Henry J. Marmann, 78, a resident of this vicinity for many years, who died at her home four miles northwest of Manchester Saturday.
Mary, daughter of the late John and Mary (Reick) Eglseder, was born Aug 17, 1871, at Guttenberg; came to Manchester as a youth, and for the last five years had lived on the John Rieger farm northwest of Manchester, where her death occurred.
She married at Guttenberg, Jan. 7, 1897, to Henry Marmann.
Mrs. Marmann was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church. She leaves children, Ray Marmann, Elkader; Mrs. Amanda Sickles, Manchester and Alfred Marmann, Manchester; four brothers, Frank and Henry Eglseder, Garnavillo, William of Clayton and John of Guttenberg; and one sister, Mrs. Frank Wolz, of Clayton. Three children and one sister also preceded Mrs. Marmann in death.
