Funeral services for Ellen Louise McWilliams, age 80, a long time resident of McGregor, Iowa, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 12 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in McGregor, Iowa. Burial will be at a later date in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in McGregor, Iowa. Arrangements were through Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home of McGregor.

Ellen was born May 3, 1918 in Waukon, Iowa, daughter of Grant and Sophia (Westby) Jacobson. She attended the Waukon High School. On August 12, 1944 she married Jack McWilliams in Decorah, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1968. Ellen retired from a career as a bookkeeper and secretary. She worked at the Ben Franklin Store in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin for 22 years.

She is survived by a son, John McWilliams of McGregor, Iowa, a daughter, Mary Novey of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; and 4 grandchildren.
