Raymond Joseph Grady, age 87, of McGregor, Iowa died suddenly on Friday, January 28, 2000 at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in McGregor, Iowa with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Monona, Iowa. Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in McGregor, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.

Raymond was born March 12, 1912 in Monona, Iowa to John and Mary (McAndrew) Grady. He attended rural school and farmed with his parents and also hauled milk. On May 18, 1941 he married Frances Ann Ambrose in Monona, Iowa. They moved to a farm near McGregor, Iowa in 1953 where they farmed until their retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus third degree.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1989; 2 sons, Lawrence Grady and James Grady; and 3 brothers, Francis Grady, Joseph Grady and Edward Grady.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary Pat Grady and Margie Goodrow, both of McGregor, Iowa and many nieces and nephews.
