On Tuesday, April 3rd the Angel of death entered the Louie Preusse home and the spirit of Maxine their youngest daughter went to be with Jesus. Maxine was born June 10th, 1924 and reached the age of 3 years, 9 months and 24 days. She was a general favorite with all who knew her and will be sadly missed. She leaves to mourn her departure her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Preusse, three brothers, Loyd, Donald, and Edwin and two sisters, Marie and Irene; her grandmother Mrs. Fred Preusse and grandfather Geo. Front, besides many aunts and uncles and cousins, also her Sunday school teacher and class mates. The funeral took place in the Presbyterian church in Volga Thursday afternoon, April 5th, 1928, at 1:30 o’clock, Rev. N. Ernest Bottom local pastor officiating. The pastor spoke from third chapter Malachi, his text being “And They Shall Be Mine Saith the Lord of Hosts”. “In that day when I made up my Jewels and I will spare them as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
The casket bearers were Misses Mary Andreae, Elsie Upton, Geneva Jeniphr and Elenor Radloff. The floral offerings were beautiful. Interment was made in Hill Crest Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to the family.
