Bernhard Henry Georges, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Georges, nee Marie Krambeer, was born June 12, 1892, on the home farm four miles southwest of Garnavillo. He attended West Side school and was confirmed at St. Peter’s church by Rev. John Bunge. He left the farm in 1910 and spent most of his time in Minneapolis where he was employed in a bakery as a shipping clerk. He was killed by his own car while cranking it. He died Monday evening, Feb. 27 at seven o’clock. His mother died on Mar. 25, 1895 and his father died 32 years later. He leaves to mourn two brothers, John of Lily, S. D., Louis of Modesto, Calif. And three sisters, Mrs. Louis Gilster of McGregor, Iowa, Marie of Lily, S. D. and Bertha of Minneapolis.
