Former Resident Died in Des Moines

We have recently received news of the death of Christian Baumeister, a former resident of Clayton county, at his home in Des Moines January 14th, 1928. Mr. Baumeister was born in Clayton county August 30, 1855. He was united in marriage with Anna Larson May 28, 1977. They made their home in Farmersburg, and later moved to McCook county, South Dakota. From there they moved to Hartley, Iowa, where Mr. Baumeister was engaged in the harness business. In the fall of 1905 they moved to Des Moines and have made their home there since that time.

Mr. Baumeister is survived by his wife and a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Yarnell, of Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Fick of Hartley, Mrs. Margaret Olson and Mrs. Mary Peterson of this county; five brothers, George, Jacob and Charles, of Hartley, John of Des Moines and Henry of Spencer.
