Mrs. O.H. Sweeney
Funeral services for Mrs. O.H. Sweeney will be at the Plymouth Congregational church at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Elmwood, the Rebekah lodge holding services at the grave.Mrs. Ida C. Niederfrank Sweeney was born on a farm in Delaware county, Oct 16, 1884. She attended the public schools of Strawberry Point and later attended business college at Cedar Rapids. For five years she was employed as stenographer at various places in Waterloo.
May 9, 1914, she was married to O.H. Sweeney. To this union one son was born. He died in infancy.
Besides the husband she is survived by her father, C.H. Niederfrank; six sisters, Mrs. Fred Lundt, Mrs. B.W. Talcott and Miss Mamie Niederfrank, Strawberry Point; Miss Emma Niederfrank, Des Moines; Mrs. Sophie Merten, Garner; and Mrs. E.J. Heyer, New Hampton; one brother, L.C. Niederfrank, Greeley.
Mrs. Sweeney had been active in the Rebekah lodge and had held positions in the state assembly for several years. Private services at the home of Mrs. H.H. Sweeney, 731 Walnut street, will precede the service at the church. Canton Crescent No. 17 Patriarchs Militant, will act as an escort for the body.
