Deloris Mae Bilden, died February 29, 1989 (Leap Year) at LaCrosse Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 4, 11 a.m. at East Clermont Lutheran Church, rural Clermont, Iowa. Rev. Kim Thacker officiated. Interment was in the East Clermont Lutheran Cemetery, Clayton County, Iowa. Muehlethaler's of Elgin were in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were David Katsumes, Enoch Hanson, Charles Kohls, Brad Loftsgard, Ron Soppe, and Joe Reierson.

Deloris Mae, the daughter of Henry and Clara (Johnson) Larson was born September 13, 1924 in Wagner Township, Clayton County, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Highland Lutheran Church. She was married to Tilpher Bilden on March 20, 1943 at Caledonia, Minnesota. The couple had 8 children. She was a member of the East Clermont Lutheran Church, ELCAW, Elgin American Legion Auxiliary-Gold Star Mother.

Preceding her in death were her son Corporal Harlan T. Bilden, father Henry E. Larson; brothers Hiram, Henry, Jr., and Raymond Larson; sister Josephine McNulty; half brothers Realto, Arthur, and LaVerne Larson.

Survivors include her husband, Tilpher, her mother, Clara Larson; daughters Marian Russ, Ruthie Trudo, Elizabeth Bowen, Brenda Coen, and Debra Knight; sons Erling and James Bilden; grandchildren Cheri Smock, Brent Trudo, Hans and Erika Bilden and Andrew Bowen; several nieces and nephews.
