Funeral services for Hartley Edward Rathbun were held July 12 at the Roberson Funeral Chapel, Strawberry Point, Iowa with Rev. Albert Hock officiating. interment was in the Strawberry Point Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Montes, Alden Adams, Bart Thein, James Rathbun, Ralph Rathbun and Charles Montes.

Hartley Edward Rathbun died July 8,1989 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa. He was the son of Charles Herbert and Harriet Nancy (Huffey) Rathbun of Postville, Iowa. *The newspaper clipping did not list his date of birth*

He is survived by two daughters, Shelva Montes and Pam Rathbun, several grandchildren and one brother Lawrence Rathbun, of Waterville, Iowa.
Preceding him in deathh were his wife, Luella (Kelly) Rathbun, his parents and a brother, Kenneth Rathbun.
