Contributor: Connie Ellis (Schlitter Family Researcher)Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 22, 1998 at the Garden City United Methodist Church in Monona, Iowa for Adaline Elizabeth Mielke. The Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiated.
Adaline Elizabeth Mielke, daughter of Fred and Emma (Schlitter) Fett, was born March 27, 1901 in Allamakee County, Iowa. She received her education in the Sixteen School. Adaline was united in marriage to Leo A. Mielke on December 3, 1919 in Allamakee County. Her hobbies included crocheting and knitting.
Adaline died Monday, October 19, 1998 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, Iowa where she had been a resident since December 27, 1990. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, who died May 11, 1949; her parents; a grandson, Randy Mielke; a brother, Alfred Fett; two sisters, Clara Wiethorn and Lilly Aird.
Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie Kelly of Independence, Iowa; a son, Eugene Mielke and his wife, Theresa of Monona, Iowa; six grandchildren, Rod Kelly, Tami Corkery, Richard Kelly, Stanley Mielke, Bruce Mielke and Todd Mielke; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Rod Kelly, Stan Mielke, Todd Mielke, Richard Kelly, Bruce Mielke, and Dennis Corkery. Burial was in the Monona City Cemetery, Monona, Iowa.

Monona - Adaline E. Mielke, 97, died Monday, Oct. 19, in Good Samaritan Center, Waukon, after a short illness. Services 11 a.m. Thursday, Garden City United Methodist Church. Burial: Monona City Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona. Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie Kelly of Independence; and a son, Eugene of Monona.
