R.J. Brown Passes On
R.J. Brown, 72, who for 15 years had served as janitor of the local schools, passed away Thursday afternoon at his home near Waterville after an illness of several years. He is survived by his wife and nine children, Roy at Luana, Charley at Castalia, William near Waterville, and Rilla (Mrs. Frank Mielke), Ethel (Mrs. Harmey Russell) of Atalissa, Agnes (Mrs. Jerry Russell) near Waterville, Darwin of Luana, Wray of covington, Tenn., and Bruce of Moorhead. After leaving the position as school janitor during which he made many friends, he and his wife have lived at Waterville where they could be cared for by their children. Funeral services were held at Monona sunday afternoon from the Schultz funeral home and burial was made in the cemetery at Sixteen.
