Louise Elizabeth Davis
Funeral services for Louise Elizabeth (Erb) Davis were held Thursday, Sept. 16 at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Luana. Rev. Ted Ager officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Louise Elizabeth (Erb) Davis, the daughter of Karl and Elizabeth (Lembke) Erb was born July 3, 1913 on a farm in Grand Meadow Township, now known as the David Schierholz farm. She was baptized July 13, 1913 in Monona by Rev. Otto Wappler. She was confirmed April 10, 1927 in St. John Lutheran Church, Luana by Rev. H. P. Kumph. She has been a member there ever since.
On Feb. 16, 1944 she was married to Oscar Davis and lived on the John Krambeer farm. They had three children, Duaine, Harold and Diane. They farmed around Luana until retiring. She was an ALCW member of her church.
Mrs. David died Sept. 13, 1982 at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse. She had reached the age of 69 years, 2 months, 10 days.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one sister, Darlene, her husband Oscar, who died Aug. 22, 1981.
Surviving her are her children Duaine of Luana, Harold of Epworth, Diane of Postville, four grandchildren, her sisters, Mrs. Ernie (Frances) Stockburger of Luana, and Helen Larson of Monona, her brother Elmer Erb of McGregor, numerous other relatives and many friends.
