Andrea Diane Bockenstedt

EDGEWOOD, Iowa -- Andrea Diane Bockenstedt, 13-year-old daughter of Curt and Nancy (Keppler) Bockenstedt, of Edgewood, entered into Heaven to be with God on Sunday, July 15, 2007, during a fatal automobile accident.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Edgewood, with the Rev. Bob Davies officiating. Burial will be in St. Mark's Catholic Cemetery, Edgewood. Leonard Funeral Home, Edgewood, in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Nov. 8, 1993, at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Andrea loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed being outdoors whether riding her horses, exploring with Nicolas, camping, riding on the four-wheeler, spending time with the dogs and cats, or her new found love, swimming in the Littleport pond with her beloved cousins.

She would have been in the eighth grade this school year. She participated in volleyball, band, speech and 4-H.

Andrea will be sadly missed by so many who loved her.

Surviving are her parents, Curt and Nancy (Keppler) Bockenstedt, of Edgewood; her brothers, Travis and Nicolas, both of Edgewood; a sister, Hayle, of Edgewood; her grandparents, Robert and Diane Keppler, of Strawberry Point, and Leo and Lois Bockenstedt, of Edgewood; her great-grandmother, Ada Sherrick-Hill, of Strawberry
