George Edward Moses
George Edward Moses, 52, a son of Albert S. and Mary Lestina Moses, was born at the farm home in Giard Township, February 7th, 1918. He attended school in Giard Township.
His father passed away in 1930 and a brother, Arthur, in 1940. He continued to work for his mother and later, for his brother, Simon. In 1953 he and his mother moved to Monona. His mother passed away in 1959. He was employed at various jobs. The last few years he was employed by Sawyer Tie Company until he became ill. After a lingering illness he passed away at Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, Dec. 27th.
He is survived by two brothers, William E., of Ferryville, Wisc., Simon A. Moses, of Monona; two sisters, Mrs. Ulad (Mary) Macha, of Mable, Minn., Mrs. George (Anna) Yonda, of Monona; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Arthur (Ellen) Moses, of Waterloo, Iowa.
Funeral services were held Dec. 30th, at the Schultz Funeral home, with Rev. Raymond Pacholke officiating.
Burial was in the family lot at Monona City Cemetery.
