Funeral services for Orlando John Arno Moeller, 53, were held Saturday, Jan. 17, 1981 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. The Rev. Julius L. Peterson and the Rev. David R. Nelson officiated. Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.
Orlando John Arno Moeller, son of William and Ella (Funk) Moeller, was born May 10, 1927 in Monona Township, Clayton County, Iowa. He died at his home in Luana Jan. 14.
He attended a rural school in Clayton County. June 23, 1948 he was married to Margenelle Becker at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. They farmed in Monona Township until 1960 when they moved to the farm that their son now operates. In 1977 they moved to Luana.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ervin; and a sister, Florence Moeller.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Roger of Luana; three grandchildren; a brother, Wilbur of Farley, Iowa; and three sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Irene) Meyer of Garnavillo; Mrs. Kenneth (Grace) Wilkens of Seneca, Wis.; and Mrs. Donald (Delores) Fischer of Prairie du Chien, Wis.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville and served as a director of the Whistlin' Bit Saddle Club for two years.
