Marie E. Mueller

Marie E. Mueller, daughter of Michael and Jane (McCann) Degnan died after a lingering illness on March 8, 1974, at the age of 77 years. She had been born on May 13, 1896, in Clayton County, Iowa. Services were held from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garnavillo, Msgr. Ament, officiating. Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbearers were all grandchildren.

On June 30, 1914, Marie was married to Albert D. Mueller in Garnavillo. Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1965.

She leaves two sons and three daughters. They are Mrs. Harlow (Charlene) Haas, Dubuque, Mrs. Forrest (Janelle) Thein, Garnavillo, Mrs. Melvin (Mary Lou) Thein, Maquoketa; Willard Mueller, Elkader and Louis Mueller, Garnavillo.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 11.

She also leaves 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, John J. Degnan, Guttenberg. She was preceded in death by two brothers, also.
