Bruce Edward Meyer, 64, formerly of Guttenberg, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at the Elkader Care Center. He was born in Guttenberg on February 24, 1946, to Earl E. and Lillian M. (Duehr) Meyer, the third of three children. Bruce graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Guttenberg and then attended Iowa State University in Ames. Bruce never married. He worked at Hilton’s Trailer Factory in Guttenberg for a few years, then Mobil Oil, where he worked as a pilot for many years on their barge line before retiring.

Survivors include his brother, Earl W. (Anna) Meyer of Guttenberg; sister, Helen (Tony) Klug of Brown Deer, WI and several nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents.

At Bruce's request, there will be no service.
