Funeral services for Adolph M. Elet, 76, were held Sunday afternoon, March 14, at 2 o'clock at the Schultz Funeral Home in Monona, with Minister Edward Kramer of Waterloo officiating.

Burial was in the Sieg plot in the Council Hill cemetery.

Mr. Elet died Thursday, Mar. 11, at the Postville hospital where he had been taken that morning. He had been in ill health for the last year.

He was born Jan. 23, 1889, in Poland, the son of Frederick and Louisa Elet. He came to this country in 1905 and worked as a farmhand in Wisconsin before coming to this vicinity.

He was married to Eliza Kishman and the couple farmed north west of Monona. He was also employed as a school bus driver for the Luana Public school. Later they retired to Monona where his wife died.

In July, 1940 he married Minnie Sieg and they went to live on the Herman Kuester farm where they lived until his death.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother and sister and a half sister in Germany; a brother and sister in California; and two brothers and a half brother in Monona.

He is survived by his wife, Minnie, two nieces, Mrs. George Franck of Hazelton and Mrs. Otto Mielke of Monona, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Jake Elet of Beloit, Wis., and several nieces and nephews in California and Wisconsin.

Pallbearers were Oliver Thiese, Sr., Harry Grovdahl, Floyd Gettman, Oliver Thiese, Jr., Robert Krause, and Hermie Sherbonda.
