Funeral services for James Fay Eno were held Thursday, March 4, 1993 at 11 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, Iowa. The Rev. Charles W. Miller officiated. Ronald Meyer was the soloist, accompanied by Joann Martins, organist. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Eno Cemetery, rural Luana, Iowa.

Casket bearers were William J. Eno, Gene Walter, William F. Eno, Edward J. Walter, Jack D. Eno, James Walter, Keith Burger and Roger Moeller. Honorary casket bearers were Lester Walter, Telmer Olson, Duane Walter, Oliver Fay, Milo Doerring, Mark Buckheit, Gordon Landsgard, John Gass and John R. Bloyd.

James Fay Eno, son of John L. and Mary E. (Fay) Eno was born March 10, 1907 on the family farm in Wagner Township, Clayton County, Iowa. He passed away Monday, March 1, 1993 in Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, WI at the age of 85 years.

Jim received his early education in the Eno School, Wagner Township No. 2, near his home. He graduated from the Wisconsin Business College and attended Iowa State College.

He was united in marriage with Florence Risch on June 3, 1936 at the home of the bride's parents at Owatonna, MN. To this union two sons were born. The couple farmed the family farm their entire life.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Florence, who died on May 22, 1987 and a brother Oliver Eno.

He is survived by his 2 sons, John P. Eno of Luana and James L. Eno and his wife, Janice, of St. Olaf. Jim is also survived by a sister-in-law, Helen Eno, and a nephew, William J. Eno, both of Luana.

He had served as Wagner Township clerk and on the township election board for 30 years. He had also been a director of the Clayton County Farm Service and a director of the Wagner Township No. 2 School. Jim was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville.

Luana- James F. Eno, 85, died Monday in Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wis., after a brief illness. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. Burial: Eno Cemetery, rural Luana. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Schutte Funeral Home, Postville.

Survivors include two sons, John of Luana and James of St. Olaf.
