Glendor Hamann, son of Herman Hamann and his wife Elizabeth, nee Koss, was born in Farmersburg Township, 04 Apr 1887. He was baptized in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Garnavillo, June 26 1887 by Pastor F. Sommerlad. He attended religious school at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Garnavillo, and was confirmed there by Pastor J. Bunge March 30, 1902.

Nov. 22, 1911, he was united in marriage to Seana Vogt by Pastor Wm. Braun. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to the present Lorraine Hamman farm. They continued to live there until 1946, when they moved to National. Since Nov. 3, 1979, he made his home with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine Hamann.

He entered the Hospital at Postville on May 2. His condition grew critical and he gradually grew weather and passed away Sun. night, June 30, 1968 at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 26 days.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, attending Bible Class and the worship services, and taking an active interest in the entire program of the church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Seana, who passed away Dec. 9, 1960, and one brother Arthur.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Milton Hamann, Garnavillo, and Lorraine Hamann, Farmersburg; one brother, Hermie Hamann, Garnavillo, one sister, Mrs. Laura Schlake, Garnavillo, 4 grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Wed., July 3, at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. R. H. Steege, pastor, officiating.

Music was by the Senior Choir and one song by the congregation with Mrs. R. H. Steege, organist.

Burial was at the Garnavillo cemetery.
