Funeral services were held for Myron Julius Lindroth, 74, Saturday, June 23, 1984, at Norway Lutheran Church, St. Olaf, with burial in the Norway cemetery. Rev. Keith Klemm officiated. Pallbearers were Kenneth Lindroth, Dennis Burns, Richard Mathews, Jeffrey Lubbert, Michael Rees and Jared Lindroth.
Myron Julius Lindroth was born May 27, 1910, at Luana, the son of Frank and Lucy (Pahlas) Lindroth. He received his high school education and attended a year in the American Institute of Business in Des Moines. On July 29, 1931, he married Nettie V. Larson at the Norway Lutheran Church. To this union four children were born.
From 1910-1930 he worked in a garage in Luana with his brother-in-law Emil. He was manager of the St. Olaf creamery from 1930-1971 and was in the dairy industry for 41 years. He was a member of the Fire Deparment and on the Central School board in Elkader, and church board. His hobbies included fishing and hunting. On Thursday, June 21, 1984, he died at his home.
Survivors include his wife Nettie, his children Rodney Myron Lindroth, Quincy, Ill., Karen Ann Engelhardt, St. Olaf, and Kenneth James Lindroth, Strawberry Point; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Hall (Florence) Swenson, Postville.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a daughter, Marilyn Jean Lindroth, a brother Efferd Lindroth, and a sister Irene DeSotel.
