Louis Carl Radloff, son of Carl and Caroline Mueller Radloff, was born July 12, 1885, in Read Township, Clayton County, Iowa, and died at the. Samaritan Home, Elkader, Thursday, Dec. 26, 1963. He had been in poor health for several years.

Mr. Radloff received his schooling in the rural schools of Read Township. He was baptized in the Zion Lutheran Church, Clayton Center, July 23, 1885, and confirmed there April 3, 1898, by the Rev. F. W. Seifert and was a member of that church at time of his death.

Mr. Radloff spent most of his life in Read Township.

After his marriage to Adele Vogt, July 20, 1905, at the home of the bride in Clayton Center, they farmed in Read Township for a number of years after which Mr. Radloff worked for the Clayton County Highway Department until he became disabled and they retired to Clayton Center. Later he entered the Davis Nursing Home in Strawberry Point, and later the Samaritan Home in Elkader.

Mr. Radloff was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son, Raymond Radloff, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Luella Boland.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Annice Hulverson, Manchester; Mrs. Edmund (Ruby) Kadlec, Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Fred (Ilene) Stendel, St. Olaf, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 29, 1963, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Clayton Center, with the Rev. J. H. Zerhusen officiating.

Burial was in the old Clayton Center Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roy Harnack, William Radloff, Fritz Mueller, Carl Radloff, Roy Bandow and Harold Lemke.
