Miss Marian Vogt 1905-1956
Marian Marie Vogt, daughter of Fred W. Vogt and his wife Amelia Seifert Vogt, was born August 21, 1906, on a farm at Clayton Center, and died Saturday, January 7, 1956.
She was baptized by her grandfather, the Rev. F. W. Seifert, and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Farmersburg. She was graduated from Farmersburg High School and attended one term of college at Fayette.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1929 and her mother in 1945 and one half-sister Ina, Mrs. Edward Glawe.
Survivors are: one sister Lillian, Mrs. Theodore Glawe, Elkader; four half-sisters, Linda, Mrs. George Kelping, Elkader; Leona, Mrs. Paul Haverland, Elkader; Ella, Mrs. Fred Lahrs, Elkader; Adele, Mrs. Louis Radloff, Clayton Center; two half-brothers, Arthur and Fred, Clayton Center.
Funeral services were help Wednesday, January 11, at the Witt Funeral Home with the Rev. J. H. Zerhusen officiating. Burial was in the Clayton Center Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Alvin Vogt, Carl Seifert, Harold Seifert, Hugo Vogt, Freddie Lahrs, and Reuben Glawe.
