Mrs. Charles F. (Augusta Dahlstrom) Landt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Dahlstrom, was born July 10, 1888 in Read township, Clayton county, Iowa. Shortly after birth she was baptized in Zion Lutheran Church, Clayton Center. She attended the public schools in Read township.

On March 10, 1908 she was united in marriage to Charles Landt. Shortly after her marriage she became a communicant member of the Lutheran Church.

For the first three years after their marriage, they rented a farm south of Luana. Then they purchased the farm which they owned to this date and continued to farm there until about 22 years ago, when they retired and moved to Luana.

In March, 1958, they observed their golden wedding anniversary, and their 55th last year. Mrs. Landt was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Luana, and the Ladies' Aid.

The deceased was taken to the Lutheran hospital, LaCrosse, Wisconsin on July 17. She submitted to surgery on July 29. She passed away Sunday, August 4, about 4:15 p.m.

She attained the age of 75 years, 24 days. She was preceded in death by one daughter who died in infancy and by one son, Elmer, and by five brothers.

He is survived by her husband, Charles Landt; one son, Harvey; three brothers: John, Frank, and Charles Dahlstrom, Mason City; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, besides many other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, August 7, 1963 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's by Rev. Luther A. Meyer. Burial in the Luana Lutheran Cemetery.
