Lotza, Anna Bertha (Kottman) 1909-1977

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 20, 1977, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Monona, Iowa with Msgr. D. Heineman officiating.

Pallbearers were Eugene Trappe, Gary Moritz, James Tayek, Daniel Kruse, John Froning, Leo Vlazny, Donald Henkes, and Donald Dutka.

Burial was at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.

Anna Bertha Kottman Lotza was born November 8, 1909 in Giard township McGregor, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Louise Havorland Kottman. In June of 1931, she was united in marriage with Sylvester Lotza of Monona. To this union were born two children: a daughter, Elaine, now Mrs. Charles Bender of Woodman, Wis., and a son, Lawrence, of Monona.

She passed away at the LaCrosse Lutheran Hospital Wednesday afternoon, August 17, after a short illness.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Sylvester, her daughter and son, son-in-law, Charles Bender, daughter-in-law, Janice Schlein Lotza and three grandchildren: Lyle and Larry Bender and Deborah Lotza. Her two brothers, Raymond and Lawrence, and one sister, Florence Lucas, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, LeRoy.
