Funeral services for Billy Larkin were held Friday, April 9, 1993 at Norway Lutheran Church, rural St. Olaf, Iowa. Pastor William C. Palmquist officiated. Pallbearers were Mike Gamm, Eric Rodas, Shane Rodas, Brien Cross, Arlis White Jr., and Adam Grove. Burial was in the Norway Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home in Monona was in charge of the services.

Billy Shane Larkin was born March 11, 1976 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He was baptized May 9, 1976 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Billy began school in Elkader, Iowa. He attended Waukon School and at present was a junior at MFL/Mar-Mac High School.

Billy died Monday, April 5, 1993 as a result of a car accident in rural Farmersburg, Iowa. He was a peer helper at MFL/Mar-Mac High School. He was an artist and enjoyed his family and his friends, especially his special friend, Tina Dennler.

Surviving are his mother and step-father, Pat and Russell Peterson of St. Olaf; his father and step-mother, Larry and Charleen Larkin of Bend, Oregon; one brother, Bobby, of Bend, Oregon; one sister, Michelle of St. Olaf; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Marvin Rodas of Elkader and Mr. & Mrs. John Larkin of Dorchester; great grandmother, Anna Brenke of Dubuque; two step-brothers, Chad and Ryan Wannemaker; Ron Dennler family of Farmersburg; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
