Funeral services for Kenneth Lange, 81, Postville, were held Wednesday, Sept. 14, 1983 at 2 p.m., Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, with Rev. Carroll Brown officiating. He died at his home here Sunday, Sept. 11. Burial was in the Monona City Cemetery.
Kenneth V. Lange, the son of Fred and Lena Allert Lange, was born August 29, 1902 in Giard township, Clayton county. He was baptized in the Methodist Church at Giard. His education was received in the Giard country schools.
He was united in marriage to Marian Owen and to this union five children were born. He farmed in the Luana area until his retirement in 1966.
Oct. 4, 1971 he was united in marriage to Sophia Drahn at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. They made their home in Postville.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife Marian, who died in 1970, a granddaughter, Janet Lange, and a great granddaughter, Rebecca Mueller.
Surviving is his wife Sophia, two sons, Bennett, of Postville, LeAllen, of Luana, three daughters, Mrs. Leo (Marjorie) Bollman of Monona, Mrs. John (Peggy) Rothmeyer, and Mrs. Gary (Diane) Ellis, both of Postville, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, two brothers, Wesley of Monona and Carl of LaCrosse, Wis.
