Joseph Grady Rites Held at McGregor

Funeral services for Joseph John Grady, 48, were held Tuesday morning, July 28, at the Thornburg Funeral home in McGregor with Father Karl Klein of St. Mary's Catholic church in McGregor officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery at Monona.

Mr. Grady died suddenly late Saturday night, July 25, when he collapsed on a street in Madison, Wis. His death was ruled as resulting from an apparent heart attack.

He was born Feb. 14, 1916, in Fairview township, Allamakee county, a son of John F. and Mary McAndrew Grady. He attended the local schools.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Grady of McGregor; three brothers, Francis of Monona, Edward of (Cherry Mounds) Harpers Ferry, and Raymond of McGregor, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Vince Ambrose, Ray Wiethorn, Floyd Wilkins, Bernard and Ronnie Grady, and Lionel Scheffert.
