Mrs. Edward T. Grady, 83, died Saturday, April 14, at Prairie du Chien, Wis., Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health for some time.
Funeral services were held from the Schultz Funeral Home to St. Patrick Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 17. Interment was in the church cemetery. The Rev. Donald Heineman, pastor, officiated.
Pallbearers were Donald Schofield, Alvin Gilster, Carl Etteldorf, Al Kadlec, Vern Haberichter and Herbert H. Lenth.
As Mary R., she was born May 23, 1889, on a farm in Giard Township west of McGregor, the daughter of Michael and Catherine O'Malley Geraghty. She was educated in the rural schools and on July 8, 1925, married Edward T. Grady at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Monona. The couple farmed southeast of Monona for 33 years before retiring in 1958.
Mrs. Grady is survived by two sons, M. E. (Ed) Grady of St. Paul, Minn., and Tom Grady of Monona; two daughters, Mrs. Charles B. (Catherine) Fick and Mrs. Joseph L. (Anna Mae) Rothmeyer, both of Monona; and 14 grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, who died in 1967, her parents and two brothers, John E. and Michael J. Geraghty.
