Funeral services were held September 10, 2009 at Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, IA, with burial in the Wagner Cemetery, Farmersburg, IA, for Georgia Radloff of Farmersburg, IA.
Georgia Radloff, 87, of Farmersburg, Iowa, died on Monday, September 7, 2009, at Central Community Hospital in Elkader, Iowa, following a brief illness. She was born March 17, 1922, on a farm ten miles from Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the daughter of George W. and Minnie E. (Grayson) Hackworth. Georgia attended school in Arkansas, and graduated from Gurdon High School in Gurdon, Arkansas.
On December 28, 1954, she was united in marriage to Glenn E. Radloff in Kansas.
Together, Georgia and Glenn farmed in rural Farmersburg and then rural Strawberry Point, until 1983, when they retired from farming and moved back to Farmersburg. Georgia also worked as a nursing assistant for twenty-five years, working at the Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point, the Elkader Hospital, and the nursing home in Elkader. Georgia retired from nursing at the age of sixty-five in 1987.
She is survived by her husband Glenn E. Radloff of Farmersburg, Iowa; two sons, Jack Wagner, and Glenn A. (Rita) Radloff of Farmersburg, Iowa; two grandchildren, April (Michael) Aschinger and Randy Radloff.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, and two brothers.
