AnnaMae Schaefers 83 of McGregor, IA died Sunday Sept 6, 2009 at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, WI following a long illness.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 10, 2009 at Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, WI with burial in St. Mary Cemetery, McGregor, IA.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home where a Holy Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m.

She is survived by a brother Leo Schaefers of McGregor, IA, four sisters: Lucille Schaefers of McGregor, IA, Helen Schaefers of Dubuque, IA, Irene Petsche of St. Olaf, IA, and Bernice Schaefers of Monona, IA.

Annamae was born October 22, 1925 at Clayton, IA to Xavier and Mary (Lusher) Schaefers. She spent her entire life in Clayton county where she was a homemaker and worked on the farm.
