Funeral services for Herbert J. Koopman, Garnavillo, were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Garnavillo. Koopman died February 23, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Berns; three sons, David Koopman of Postville, Rev. Dennis Koopman, O.F M. of Quincy, Ill., and Jerry Koopman of Garnavillo; a daughter, Mrs. James (Joan) Kampschroer of Wausau, Wis.; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Cletus Koopman of Waterloo and Alfred Koopman of New Vienna; five sisters, Mrs. Linus (Alvina) Duetmeyer of Manchester, Sister Helen Koopman of Calmar, Mrs. Herb (Hildegarde) Luecke of Dyersville, Mrs. Allie (Mary) Rausch of New Vienna and Mrs. Urban (Margaret) Rausch of Luxemburg.

Burial was set at the church cemetery at a later date. Tuecke Funeral Home in Garnavillo handled the arrangements.
