Milton William Kruse, 67, died Feb. 11 at Central Community Hospital, Elkader.

Funeral services were Friday, February 12, at 11 a.m., Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, with Father John Moran officiating.

He was born April 23, 1920 in Allamakee County, Iowa to Fred and Bertha Wilke Kruse.

He served in the United States Army during WW II and was stationed in Europe.

October 10, 1946 he married Bonnie O'Dea in Waterloo. The couple had 2 sons and 2 daughters.

Milton worked for the railroad and timber industry until his health failed. He was a member of the Clayton County AmVets Post 27.

Preceding him in death was a son, Jim, who died at the age of 1 year, Jan. 19, 1953.

Surviving are his wife Bonnie; one son Tim of Monona; two daughters, Mrs. Pat Miller of White City, OR; Mrs. Jan Connor of Cedar Rapids; 2 grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Bertha Kruse of Monona; 2 brothers, Verni and Reuben, both of Monona; and one sister, Mrs. Mardella Schlitter of Monona.
