Ila Kruse was born November 16, 1921, at Washta, IA, the daughter of George and Emma Ware Rux. She died Sunday, September 1, 1991, at Central Community Hospital, Elkader, IA.
On August 8, 1953 she was married to Arno Kruse at the Little Brown Church, Nashua by the Rev. Glen Utterbach. Ila held numerous jobs in Farmersburg and Elkader, retiring in 1981.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one sister, and two brothers.
Surviving are her husband, Arno, a daughter, Mrs. Clark (Sandra) Roeder of Farmersburg; a granddaughter, Mrs. Rodney (Sonya) Stagman of Monona; and a sister, Joyce Ridpath of Omaha, NB.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 5, 1991, 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, with the Rev. Benjamin Davis officiating. Pallbearers were Glen Radloff, Roger Tielbar, John Kluth, Jim Bollman, Dick Streicher, and Bill Tielbar. Honorary pallbearers were Ray Marmann, Duane Lubbers, Orlando Fascher, and Jr. Corlett. Burial was in the Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of services.
