Lorrence A. Oelke
Lorrence A. Oelke, 85, formerly of LaCrosse, Wis., died in the Mulder Nursing Home in West Salem, Wis. on Tues., Sept. 19.
He was a former resident of Monona, Iowa. Lorrence was born in Farmersburg, June 22, 1893 to Christopher and Emma Oelke. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and Fraleinal Order of Eagles Aeerie 1254, and was retired from the Frane Co. in LaCrosse.
Survivors are two sons - Dale of Onalaska and Harold of LaCrosse; two sisters - Mrs. LeRoy Reardon of Farmersburg and Mrs. Favorite Welda of LaCrosse; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers, and three sisters.
Services were held in the Dickenson Funeral Home Friday, with burial in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park.
Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Reardon, with Mrs. Elmer Bente of Elkader and Gaylord Oelke of Monona, attended the services.
