Ronald Dale Nuehring
Ronald Dale Nuehring was born August 13, 1957 to Frederick and Vivian Canoe Nuehring at Prairie du Chien, WI.
He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Farmersburg. He received his education at M.F.L. schools and his high school diploma at Fort Ord, CA.
Ronald served in the U.S. Army from October 28, 1974 to October 28, 1977. He was a Private E-4 working in heavy weapons. After service Ronald worked at Monona Wire Corp. and as a truck driver.
Ron was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves until he became ill. He died Monday, May 18, 1987 at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa following a lengthy illness.
Preceding Ronald in death were his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Canoe and Mr. and Mrs. John Nuehring.
Surviving are his parents, Frederick and Vivian Canoe Nuehring of Farmersburg, one brother Curtis of Farmersburg, three sisters, Carol Tuley of Cedar Rapids, Karen Stewart of St. Olaf and Sharon Erickson of Monona.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, May 21, 1987 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Farmersburg, Iowa. Rev. Robert Edwards officiating. Pallbearers were Mark Nuehring, Kevin Nuehring, Arlen Nuehring, Kevin Ferguson, Daniel Ferguson, and Orval Mervin Nuehring. Burial was in the Monona City Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of services.
