Adrian William Nelson
Funeral services for Adrian William Nelson, 34, rural Postville, were held Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 10:30 a.m. from Washington Prairie Lutheran church, rural Decorah, with the Rev. Richard Sansgaard officiating. Interment was in Postville cemetery.
He died Sunday, September 12 as the result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born August 28, 1942 in Clayton county. His parents are Almer Leo and Alice Tatro Nelson. He was a 1960 graduate of Valley of Elgin high school and was engaged in farming. He married Sharon Gordon May 10, 1964 in Postville.
Surviving are his parents, his wife, a daughter Amy, 11, and son Aaron, eight, two brothers, Robert and A. D. Nelson of Clermont, and two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Beverly) Ruckdashel of Mesa, AZ and Mrs. Ardell Conrad of San Diego, CA.
He was a member of Washington Prairie church.
Casket bearers were Albert Ashbacher, Darrel Crawford, David Schwinefus, William Green, Gary Larson and Jeff Feickert.
Schutte funeral home of Postville was in charge of arrangements.
