Catherine Olds

Catherine Olds died Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Central Community Hospital in Elkadar (sic). Funeral services were Dec. 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Schultz's Funeral Home in Monona.

She was born March 3, 1916 in Oswego, N. Y. Her parents were Bart and Catherine (Natoli) Cesario. She received her education in the Oswego schools.

She worked for many years in a small grocery in Oswego. She also worked as an interpreter assisting the refugee effort in Oswego during World War II. Later, she was employed by Columbia Mills and the Flexo Wire Company.

Preceding her in death were a granddaughter, Sarah Jean Brainard.

Survivors include her husband, Eric; 2 daughters, Mrs. Clararence (sic) (Katy) Brainard, Jr., Monona, and Mrs. John (Mella) McGrath, Oswego; 3 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Anthony and John Cesario, Los Angeles and several cousins in Oswego.

Pallbearers were Robert DeAmbro, Michael Brainard, Jon Lovett, Leon Trappe, Anthony Mueller and Ivan Melcher.

Burial was in the Monona City Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
