C.F. Pixler, Aged Resident of Eaton, Dies
Eaton, Jan 18 - Charles Fremont Pixler, 80, a resident of Eaton since 1885, died at his home Saturday morning following an illness of seven years. He had been confined to his bed the past two months.

Mr. Pixler was born Oct. 3, 1860, near Postville, Ia., the son of William and Mary Pixler. He came to Eaton in 1885 and lived there 15 years before moving to Ault in 1900. He lived there until 1914, when the family moved back to Eaton. Mr. Pixler served as custodian of the Eaton high school for 16 years. He was a member of the Eaton Congregational church.

Mr. and Mrs. Pixler were married April 26, 1893. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nira Lillian Pixler, six children, Mrs. John W. Kniflon of Sterling, Mrs. John T. Donovan of Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. W.H. Dunstan and Norman Charles Pixler of Denver, Mrs. John Dunn of Boulder and Royal Pixler of Montrose, and three granddaughers and four grandsons.

Funeral arrangements have not been made. Body is at Armstrong's Mortuary in Eaton.

Enumerated on the 1880 US census, the family of William & Mary Pixler are living in Union, Butler co., Nebraska. William b. VA, age 51; Mary b. PA, age 46; William H. b. IA, age 21; Charles b. IA, age 19; Ellsworth b. PA, age 16; Minnie b. PA, age 16 and Harriet b. IA, age 8.
