Lovina Timmerman
Lovina Albertine Hermina Timmerman, 82, of Horicon, WI, formerly of Monona, died Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the Christian Nursing Home in Waupun, WI, following a long illness. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 8 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona, with the Rev. Christopher Staley officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, rural McGregor.
Lovina was born April 28, 1926 in rural Allamakee County to Chris and Emma (Kiester) Levenhagen. She attended the Figi Country School.
Lovina was united in marriage to Frank Timmerman November 10, 1948 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona. Seven children were born to this union. Lovina worked at the Monona Wire Factory for over 20 years and was a longtime member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona. Lovina was the world's best cook and enjoyed gardening, canning, sharing her canned goods with others and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her seven children, Dorla (Larry) Lessard of Horicon, WI, Rebecca (Randy) Dirks of Faribault, MN, Judy (Marvin) Kirchner of Menasha, WI, Lindsey (Brenda) Timmerman of Prairie du Chien, WI, Lucinda (Richard) Novey of Horicon, WI, Janice (Mark) Graham of Grand Prairie, TX, and Roger (Stephanie) Timmerman of Millville, WI; 16 grandchildren, George Lessard, Sarah Matthews, Franklin Lessard, Nathanael Dirks, Joshua Dirks, Andrew Dirks, Keith Kirchner, Anna Kirchner, Lea Timmerman, Christopher Timmerman, Chad Novey, Jason Novey, Lisa Novey, Lynn Novey, Debra Timmerman, Laura Timmerman; six great-grandchildren, Ethan Lessard, Lilliam Rose Lessard, Ethan Dirks, Kaden Kirchner, Lydia Kirchner, Aryan Lessard; and nine brothers and sisters, Donnie Levenhagen of Monona, Margie Schlein of Monona, Mary Turner of Waukon, Helen Harbach of San Diego, CA, Darlene Miller of McGregor, Edna Patrick of La Hoya, CA, Agnes Tesar of Prairie du Chien, WI, Harvey Levenhagen of Monona, Lillian Eldreth of Randelman, NC.
Lovina was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Emma Levenhagen; and her husband, Frank Timmerman.
